AB 1532: Food Facilities: Food Safety: Employee Knowledge
California Assembly Bill 1532 was approved on July 2019 requiring all food handlers successfully pass an approved and accredited food safety examination which include handling practices for food known to cause allergies. This new law protects individuals with severe food allergies by requiring all food handlers to have adequate knowledge on safe food handling practices for major food allergens.
